We are writing our unit exam for Arming the Spirit
Today I will be coming around to help everyone with the preparation for their essays. I will look at your thesis statements and provide some feedback before you go into your essay tomorrow. When this is complete and you feel ready to write, you can do review for your unit final. Review your vocabulary words, texts and terms so that you are ready to write your unit exam on Friday and Monday.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!! Today we are entering into the final preparations for our summative assessments. We will begin class looking at our essay topics and our essay exemplars. I will work with the 30-2 students today and the 30-1s will write a practice reading comprehension for modern drama and a poem. Then we will switch groupings.
With the remaining class time, you will be given time to prepare for your essay We will continue to run separate classes today. The 20-2 students will work on their comic strip representation of "The Crucible". The 20-1 students will continue to work with their visuals and writing theme statements to get ready for their critical writing.
Today we will have time to complete the work we've been doing on "The Crucible". Scene analysis needs to be handed in as well as irony and symbol work.
We finished the movie and then reviewed film analysis. We viewed a single scene from the film and then wrote an analysis explaining why the director chose to use certain techniques. This is due tomorrow.
We will finish watching the movie today and then, if time, we are going over the assignments that need to be submitted for marking.
I'm not here today and we really need to finish reading the play.
After you are finished reading, I've attached a document on irony that I would like you to work on. It's in your google classroom. We will take this up in class on Tuesday. For the second period today we will watch the movie "The Crucible" |
