During the first class, we are doing some research on Ambition.  Each student will put together a word document of poems, quotations and visuals which illustrate thoughts on Ambition.  You will be using the blue SMART cards to do some thinking about the topic itself.  Once you have have finished this, you need to write a paragraph where you summarize the ideas (whether conflicting or supporting).

In period two, we will start to look at some Shakespearean theory.  We will be looking at what a Shakespearean Tragedy is and terms such as tragedy, catharsis, pathos, tragic flaw, hamartia, apostrophe.  We will have some fun "chatting" in Shakespeare on our social media!
